This policy explains what personal information Roam and Teach ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at info@roamandteach.com.
What we collect
When you join our waitlist, we collect your name, email address, the country of your passport, and when you would like to start.
If you later apply to our program, we may also ask for information needed to check your eligibility and help with your placement, such as your degree, TEFL certificate, passport details, background check, CV and contact details. We will tell you what we need and why before you send it.
When you visit our website, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To contact you about Roam and Teach, including when applications and free calls open.
- To check whether you are eligible for the program.
- To prepare you for placement and support you during your program.
- To answer your questions and keep records of our communication with you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Partner schools and placement companies in Vietnam, but only once you have applied to the program and agreed to be introduced to them. We share only what they need to consider you for a position and support your work permit and visa.
- Service providers that help us run Roam and Teach, such as Google Workspace (email and file storage) and Cloudflare (website hosting). They process information on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
- Authorities, if we are required to by law.
Where your information is stored
Your information is stored with our service providers, which may process it in the United States and other countries. Because our program places teachers in Vietnam, information you choose to share for a placement will also be shared with our partners there.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until you ask us to remove them or until we no longer need them to contact you about the program. If you join the program, we keep your records for as long as needed to support you and to meet any legal or accounting requirements, and then delete them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- see the personal information we hold about you,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete your information, or
- stop contacting you.
Email info@roamandteach.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and you can contact your local data protection authority if you have concerns.
Keeping your information safe
We use reputable, secure services to store your information and limit access to the people who need it to run the program. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Who this is for
Our program is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our program grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
